Assisted by BAZNAS Leak, the surveyors went to village office of Malabar and interviewing the village chief of Malabar

PUSKASBAZNAS.COM, Lebak - Center of Strategic Studies, The National Board of Zakat (Puskas BAZNAS) visited Malabar in Lebak district, Banten to conduct a survey on Tuesday (13/02). The purpose of this survey is to assess and measure the village as a part of Zakat Villa Index (IDZ) program. The survey was performed by interviewing the village chief, the head of neighborhoods and communities involved. In addition, the assessor also came to visit the village facilities and infrastructures.

Beside the village chief and head of neighborhood, the surveyor also interviewed the people involved in the community such as Ustadz (islamic preacher), teacher, and health cadres.

Based on the surveyors’ observation, most of families in Malabar does not own toilet and bathroom inside their houses and have minimum access to a clean water. They rely on the sanitation facilities that available and limited in every neighborhood. It causes most of people in Malabar village lack access to basic sanitation. This problem resulting the villagers trespassing the elementary school sanitation facilities and sometime create damage towards the school’s facility.
