PUSKASBAZNAS.COM, Lebak - Center of Strategic Studies, The National Board of Zakat (Puskas BAZNAS) visited 2 (two) villages, Palimbang Sari Village and Panyiuran, in Hulu Sungai Utara district, South Kalimantan on Tuesday (13/03). The survey is aim to assess and measure the village in five dimension for IDZ.

Majority of Palimbang Sari society are rattan craftsmen and fish farmers. The main problem experienced by them are lack of capital in order to increase their productivity. For rattan craftsmen they have to buy the raw materials from outside the village which cost relatively high. This condition occur because the village cannot produce their own raw materials. In addition, for fish farmers in Palimbang Sari Village, due to lack of capital they early harvest their fish which in result lower down the price.

The same problems occur in Panyiuran village which the majority of the society are woodworkers and furniture maker. The lack of capital condition decrease their productivity. In terms of health and education, both villages have health and education facilities in a good condition.
