Center of Strategic Studies (Puskas) BAZNAS together with Planning and Development Division (Renbang) of BAZNAS held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Zakat Institutional Effectiveness Study on Wednesday to Friday (23/08-25/08) in Bogor. 

After holding the first FGD on Monday (14/08) with internal people of BAZNAS, Puskas and Renbang held this second FGD with active participants from external people of BAZNAS to get a wider view.

The active participants who attended the FGD were experts in the zakat field, both academics and practitioners, with several backgrounds such as sharia, governance and zakat accounting. Prof. Dr. K.H. Didin Hafidhuddin as Professor of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) and Dr. Oni Sahroni from National Sharia Board of Indonesian Ulama Assembly (DSN MUI) gave inputs in the sharia side of zakat management. Dr. Heru Susetyo from Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (UI) and Dr. Yusuf Wibisono from Faculty of Economic and Business UI reviewed the Act 23/2011 regarding zakat management in Indonesia.
