The large meeting among countries and zakat institutions which are planned to be held in Brunei Darussalamis is getting closer. The event is scheduled to be held in September 2019. UNISSA (Sultan Syarief Ali Islamic University) Brunei Darussalam as the host and co-partner will assist BAZNAS and the World Zakat Forum Secretariat to carry out the event. On Monday, July 8, 2019 BAZNAS together with the WZF Secretariat team comprising: Irfan Syauqi Beik, Ph.D (Executive Secretary of WZF and Director of Operations at BAZNAS), Jaja Jaelani (Secretary of BAZNAS), Mrs. Deasy (Senior Distribution and Utilization Staff), Hafiza Elvira Novitariani (Digital Fundraising Manager) and Astika Rahmah Ghanny (WZF Secretariat Staff) conducted 2nd preparation meeting of World Zakat Forum Conference 2019.

The meeting discussed the event preparations, budgets, and plans for collaboration with the media in Brunei Darussalam, as well as television broadcasts. Around 33 countries, comprising: Indonesia, Malaysia, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, Britain, Bahrain, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, Bosnia, Morocco, Bangladesh, India, Nigeria, Brunei Darussalam, South Africa, Vietnam, United States, Pakistan, Singapore , Egypt, Jordan, Australia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Senegal, Liberia, Togo, Benin, Leon Siera, as well as multilateral organizations such as UNICEF and UNDP, besides representatives of the Islamic Development Bank and Developing-8 will be participating the World Zakat Forum Conference and Annual Meeting 2019.
