The yearly work meeting of Puskas that conducted from 3-4 February 2020 in Cikini, Jakarta had planned the Key Performance Index (KPI) of the organization for the next twelve months.

One of the KPIs is the study of the National Zakat Index (NZI) that will be performed sooner. NZI is the tool that has been initiated by Puskas to measure the performance of zakat institutions and to investigate the impact of zakat distribution on the welfare of its recipients.

During the working meeting, BAZNAS’s Director of Distribution and Utilization, Dr. Irfan Syauqi Beik, attended the meeting for discussing NZI, notably making some fundamental revisions on some of the NZI’s variables and the assigned weights. Doing that is critical to keep the NZI relevant to the real context of zakat administration.

In a nutshell, the revised NZI that was discussed during Puskas’ yearly work meeting is soon to be published officially and will be applicable in the 2020 NZI survey.
