The National Board of Zakat Zakat (BAZNAS) provides assistance by deploying a team after the Sriwijaya Air SJ182 plane crash, which is believed to occur in Kepulauan Seribu, Saturday (9/1). BAZNAS dispatched rescue and medical teams to work at various points.

BAZNAS took part in Soekarno Hatta Airport, to assist the victim data collection process. As of Sunday afternoon (10/1), 4 crew members and 34 passengers were recorded, with details of 27 adult passengers, 5 children and 2 babies. Some of the families were taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for DNA test.

"BAZNAS placed a team at the airport for the process of assessing the families of the Sriwijaya Airplane crash victims who needed assistance and assistance. We will focus on efforts to help victims affected by this tragedy. BAZNAS will join hands with the families of the victims to work together through this disaster," said the Chairman of BAZNAS RI. Prof. Dr. H. Noor Achmad, M.A.

BAZNAS also directly assisted the evacuation process after the Sriwijaya Air SJ182 plane crash. BAZNAS deployed teams at three points on the second day of evacuation.

BAZNAS has also established kitchen in two locations, namely at the Main Command Post for JICT Jetty Search, Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta and at the Indonesian Air Force Complex, Tanjung Kait. Other efforts made by BAZNAS include helping the evacuation process at three points, namely the Main Command Post for the Search for JICT Jetty at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta. At this location, BAZNAS also placed an ambulance to help the victim evacuation process.

In addition, the BAZNAS Team was deployed at Tanjung Kait Beach, Tangerang, Banten, to assist in the evacuation process. Together with a team from Basarnas, BAZNAS also helped distribute logistics to support the crew who were conducting the search.

Then the third team was assigned to Soekarno Hatta Airport, to assist in the victim data collection process.

"We always hope and wish the best for all the victims of the Sriwijaya Air SJ182 plane. Hopefully all victims can be found and the family will be given strength in facing this test," concluded Noor.
