Currently, the World Zakat Forum attempts to establish an online learning platform which is called the Zakat Wakaf Online Institute. In the forum, Indonesia was selected as the country to hold the pilot project of Zakat Wakaf Online Institute. The formation of this project requires input from various stakeholders aiming the online institution to perform well.

For this reason, Puskas BAZNAS held a discussion regarding the concept of Zakat Wakaf Online Institute together with campuses that already offer zakat and waqf study programs. The discussion was conducted on February 19, 2021 via online platform. Al-Azhar University, Muhammadiyah Jakarta University, IAIN Purwokerto, IAIN Surakarta, IAIN Palangkaraya, Asyafiiyah Islamic University, were the campuses that attended the discussion and fruifully share their views and suggestions. It is expected that Zakat Wakaf Online Institute could be one of the ideal platforms for studying zakat waqf both in Indonesia and the world.
