Marocco, November 28, 2016 - One of the missions of Puskas BAZNAS is to expand cooperation in the field of zakat with foreign institutions. In his meeting with Cadi Ayyad University of Marocco, Puskas BAZNAS Director, Irfan Syauqi Beik, highlights the importance of cooperation especially in the area of zakat studies and strategic policies. Dr Malika Marabi of the Cadi Ayyad University welcomes the initiative offered by Puskas BAZNAS. She said that for Maroccan universities, cooperation with institution in Indonesia should be strengthened as the two countries share the same Islamic economic interest.

In the same occasion, Dr Mohamed Sbitli from King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies also offers stronger relationship and cooperation between his institution and Puskas BAZNAS. "We have strong interest to do research and strategic studies in the field of zakat and Islamic economics, and I think our institutions can collaborate in this regards," Dr Sbitli said.

Irfan expects that his meeting with Maroccan colleagues can produce productive outcome. "This meeting is the entry point for further cooperation that will benefit the two countries," Irfan said. (PUSKAS NEWS/
