Puskasbaznas.com - In remember of the tsunami tragedy in Aceh (2004), The National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) launched a book on the success story program after tsunami titled Menang Usai Diterjang Gelombang (Win after the waves are hit).

The Chairman of BAZNAS, Bambang Sudibyo said that the book could provide a lot of inspiration for the nation's struggle, in order to remain steadfast in facing the disaster. The launched of this book is a part of Selamat Tunas Bangsa (STB) programs as well as scholarships for children affected by the tsunami in Aceh starting from elementary and junior high schools

"2018 is the final year of the Selamatkan Tunas Bangsa (STB) scholarship program. The scholarship recipients have got jobs and have built a family and prosperity. Hopefully this book can be an inspiration for the nation's struggle so that they remain steadfast when undergoing the disaster," during the event at the Ministry of Religion Office, Wednesday (26/12).

The event was attended by Achmad Subianto, the first BAZNAS chairman as well as initiator of the BUMN Peduli fund and the community for the scholarship program, STB Managers Emmy Hamidiyah who were also BAZNAS Commissioner, several STB initiators such as former State Minister of State Enterprises Sugiharto, member of the National Economic and Industrial Committee (KEIN) Aries Mufti, Mahfuzah; Juliansyah, and the scholarship recipients programs namely Muhammad.

Selamatkan Tunas Bangsa program in synergy with BUMN Peduli provide guidance to the Aceh tsunami survivors. "Around 100 children from 300 the scholarship recipients of elementary school have successfully completed their college education and have worked at the various institutions," said STB Manager Emmy Hamidiyah.

Emmy added, the writing about their struggle was outlined in the book. According to Emmy, this activity aims to provide motivation for the nation's children to remain optimistic and continue to struggle after the disaster.

"Then socializing the Selamatkan Tunas Bangsa program which has been going on for 14 years as a reference for post-disaster prevention programs," she said.
