The Board Member of Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) as well as the Committee of Indonesian Hebron Hospital (RSIH) visited BAZNAS on Wednesday, 10th April 2019. The representatives from these institutions was received directly by the Chairman of BAZNAS Prof. Dr. Bambang Sudibyo, the President Director of BAZNAS Mr. Arifin Purwakananta and the Director of Zakat Distribution of BAZNAS Dr. Irfan Syauqi Beik at BAZNAS Headquarter in Jakarta.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the collaboration possibility between MUI, RSIH and BAZNAS in constructing Hospital in Palestine. Currently, Indonesia has already constructed a Hospital in Gaza namely Indonesia Hospital which has been operated since 2015. The vice chairman of RSIH Committee Mr. Shabah said that the West-Bank area of Palestine also need International Aid particularly in healthiness facilities.

Hence, MUI decided to take this initiative to build the first Indonesian Hospital in West-Bank Palestine which is located at Hebron. The first construction of RSIH will be begun in this April 2019 and it cost about USD 7 million. In addition, the size of Hospital will take about 4000 meter squared of land. As the social institution, BAZNAS also concerns in humanity issues particularly in Palestine. As such, BAZNAS will support a great initiative from MUI and RSIH to construct the first Indonesian Hospital in Hebron, Western-Bank Palestine.
