JAKARTA – Two Publications Capture BAZNAS Evolution from its Establishment to the Present Day
During the 2025 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) held at Mercure Hotel, BAZNAS marked an important milestone with the launch of two significant institutional books. The initiative, led by the Division of Innovation and Creative Programs (DIPK) in collaboration with the Division of Studies and Development (DKAP), reflects BAZNAS ongoing commitment to documenting its legacy and envisioning its role in the future of zakat management.
The first publication, “BAZNAS Untuk Negeri dan Dunia”, serves as a comprehensive reflection on BAZNAS mission to uphold its divine mandate and humanitarian responsibility. This book highlights the institution’s contributions to social and economic development, not only at the national level but also within the broader international context. By retracing BAZNAS history and evolution, the volume captures the tangible impact of zakat programs while also addressing the challenges the institution continues to face in carrying out its humanitarian mission.
The second publication, “BAZNAS: Sebuah Mimpi, Harapan, dan Kenyataan”, is a vivid chronicle of the institution’s journey from its founding under Drs. H. Achmad Subianto, M.B.A., to the leadership of Prof. Dr. KH. Noor Achmad, M.A. It weaves together stories of dreams nurtured amid limitations, hopes that never faded, and realities continuously shaped to position zakat as a transformative force for civilization. Through this narrative, readers are invited to explore the struggles, breakthroughs, and enduring spirit that have defined BAZNAS leadership across generations.
The event was made even more momentous as the launch was officially inaugurated and marked by the signing of the books by the leadership of BAZNAS RI. This symbolic act not only formalized the publications but also underscored the institution’s collective dedication to preserving knowledge and strengthening its strategic direction for years to come.
More than a historical account, the book serves as a living guide and source of inspiration.
