- The empowerment programs carried out by BAZNAS RI have proven to be effective in alleviating poverty, successfully improving the welfare of 71% of mustahik based on five poverty alleviation standards. Among the various programs implemented, Z Chicken recorded the highest poverty alleviation rate of 89.66%, followed by Z Auto (88.89%) and Lumbung Pangan (82.02%).
- In addition, this program also increased the sustainability of beneficiaries' businesses. Before receiving zakat assistance, only 65.61% of beneficiaries had businesses, while after receiving assistance, this figure increased to 84.84%. The increase in the independence of mustahik was also evident in savings ownership, which rose from 48.92% to 80.76%, with the highest growth achieved by the Z Chicken program.
- Measurements using CIBEST showed a shift in mustahik from absolute poverty to the prosperous quadrant. Meanwhile, an analysis of poverty indicators shows that zakat assistance contributes to reducing the number of people living in poverty (headcount index), inequality (income gap), and the depth of poverty (poverty gap). Zakat also accelerates the time needed for beneficiaries to escape poverty.
- Throughout 2024, BAZNAS RI has alleviated poverty for 80,962 poor beneficiaries, contributing 0.003% to national poverty alleviation. Meanwhile, 31,746 other beneficiaries have not been completely lifted out of poverty, but have experienced a significant improvement in their welfare compared to their previous conditions.
