The National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) of Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province distributed tempe milling machine to a housewive in Bengkalis area.

"We distributed zakat fund to the mustahiq for the various needy, both of productive needy or daily consumption. We hope their business can develop, and later they turn to be a muzakki," said Ali Ambar, Chairman of BAZNAS Bengkalis (7/5).

He said that a machine had been given to Tartati Marnis, a housewife in  Pedekik Village, Bengkalis District.

He said, BAZNAS Bengkalis District  also distributed zakat for purchasing roof of one residents in Pambang Baru Village, beside that BAZNAS Bengkalis distributed an assistance for residents who living in Penampi Village.

“In order to  distribute zakat fund to the corner villages, we urge to the society for establishing service unit of zakat (UPZ) based on villages, mosques and others. Because the potential of zakat in the village is also quite large, such as trade, agriculture and other entrepreneurs "he added.

Meanwhile, according to him, change the status of mustahiq (recipient of zakat) to be muzakki is one mission of BAZNAS Bengkalis Regency.

"BAZNAS Bengkalis commit to socialize build BAZNAS and invite those who have excess sustenance to pay zakat through BAZNAS Bengkalis Regency," he said.
