Surakarta, Central Java (4-6/3). 2019 National Zakat Meeting (Rakornas) gave birth of 22 resolutions. Rakornas which was attended by 650 participants from all regional Baznas representative (BAZNAS Provinces, BAZNAS Regencies, BAZNAS Cities) and LAZ over Indonesia went successfully. This is a sign that the zakat revival movement is growing nationally.
This was conveyed by a BAZNAS Commisioner, Prof. Dr. Mundzier Suparta when chairing the 2019 Rakornas Zakat plenary meeting themed "Optimizing the Management of Zakat to Alleviate Poverty and Improving Welfare Towards Indonesia the Center for World Islamic Economics" at Hotel Sunan, Surakarta, Central Java, Wednesday (6/3).
"Alhamdulillah, the 2019 National Zakat Meeting took place smoothly and successfully and gave birth to 22 resolutions. The participants of the 2019 National Zakat Meeting were committed to seriously carrying out the task of managing zakat by implementing the resolutions to poverty alleviation, "he said.
On that occasion, Munzier who was also a former Inspector General of the Ministry of Religion Affairs (MoRa) submitted a resolution to the BAZNAS Chairman. The resolution was also submitted to the regional Baznas representative and one of the LAZ representatives.
Meanwhile, the BAZNAS Secretary who is also the head of committee, Jaja Jaelani, expressed his gratitude and appreciated the hard work of the committee, directors and other BAZNAS staff for the success of this grand event. He also thanked to the Mayor of Surakarta and the Governor of Central Java, the Central Java Regional Police, the Diponegoro Regional Military Commander and the people of Surakarta and Central Java who supported the holding of the National Zakat Coordination Meeting 2019.
